We had a chance to learn more about Action Plumbing and Heating, a family-run business with over 30 years of experience.
It’s a father-and-son operation (Dominic and Ryan), and they seem to really know their stuff when it comes to all things heating. They handle everything from installing new boilers to servicing old ones and even doing emergency repairs.
They’re Gas Safe-registered, which is a big deal in our book. They’re also accredited installers for Worcester Bosch and Vaillant, so you know they’re working with top-quality brands.
Plus, they offer some pretty sweet warranties – up to 10 years on some boiler models.
We love that they offer same-day or next-day service for those urgent situations when your boiler decides to give up the ghost in the middle of winter.
Their pricing is transparent too. They charge £90 for the first hour of diagnosing a boiler breakdown and £50 for each additional hour. They also give you detailed quotes for installations and conversions.
A few people we talked to, though, weren’t thrilled with the customer service. Some said they found it a bit rude.

They’re also really upfront about their pricing – no hidden costs or surprises. And they even offer free estimates, which is always a bonus.
One thing that really stood out to us was their 24/7 emergency service. Knowing you can reach them anytime, day or night, for those unexpected plumbing disasters is a huge relief.
Now, while most people we spoke with had great things to say, a few mentioned that the plumbers could sometimes be a bit messy.

Although, a few people did have some trouble getting in touch with them by phone. Apparently, they were disconnected a couple of times, which is definitely something to be aware of.

One of the things we really like about Combined Services is their commitment to clear communication. They make sure you understand what’s happening every step of the way, which can be a real comfort when you’re dealing with a plumbing emergency.
The only complaint we have is how hard it is to get in touch with them initially. We think they have some room for improvement when it comes to returning calls promptly.

Intrigued, we decided to delve deeper, and we were pleasantly surprised by what we discovered. These guys are like the one-stop shop for all your plumbing and heating needs.
They handle everything from the basics – think leaky faucets and clogged drains – to more complex jobs like full bathroom installations and those oil-to-gas conversions that everyone’s talking about.
They even install those eco-friendly wood pellet boilers that are all the rage these days. And if that wasn’t enough, they also offer 24/7 emergency service, so you can rest assured that they’ll be there for you when you need them most.
But what really impressed us about Beemac was their commitment to customer service. They’re not just about fixing pipes and boilers; they’re about building relationships and making sure their customers feel valued and heard.
